An Outbound Training & Nature Camp was held for a group of undergraduates in the ENCM program, University of Kelaniya on 30th and 31st May 2015 at Yagirala Field Reserch and Conservation Education Center. Short Course on Sustainable Forestry and Ecosystem Conservation in Estates Lands held on 2nd and 3rd October 2015 Organized by Center for Sustainability, Department of Forestry and Environmental Science, University of Sri Jayewardenepura in collaboration with SLAAS Section B . More than 15 Participants from various plantation companies around the country were participated for this two day workshop. Forest Management Concept and Planning, Economic aspects of Forest Management, Harvest and Replant Scheduling, Soils and soil conservation best practices, Sustainable Forestry and Forestry Certifications: Goals, Principals and Criteria, Biodiversity Conservation and Ecosystem Protection in Forest Plantations/Estates were key session of the two day short course, Dr. Upul Subasinghe, Dr. Priyan Perera, Dr. Daham Jayewardana, Mr. K.
